MEGA TENORI-ON is a large multitouch Tenori-on built with Processing and Supercollider. It was made for the Cyber-Commons wall at the Electronic Visualization Lab (EVL) at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
The goal of this project was to allow users to collaborate across a very large multitouch surface, which is part of an ongoing investigation into the implications of large creative, collaborative environments at the EVL. Switching between instrument modes, players can choose between a major pentatonic scale (with three distinct tones) or samples of a large drum kit.
